The short version

We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell anything to data brokers, and there is no analytics cookie on this site. The only personal information we receive is what you type into the catering enquiry form and send us deliberately.

What we collect

If you send a catering enquiry

The form on the contact page asks for your name, email address, and optionally a phone number, date, headcount and a message. That is submitted to Netlify Forms, our website host's form service, which stores it and notifies us. We use it to reply to your enquiry and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Netlify also records the submitting IP address for spam filtering. Netlify's own privacy terms apply to that processing.

If you just browse

Our host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, which pages were requested and when. That is ordinary web-server operation and is used for security and diagnostics.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. It does use two small pieces of browser storage, both purely functional and neither shared with anyone:

• jkb-seen in session storage, so the opening animation only plays once per visit rather than on every page.
• jkb-order in local storage, remembering whether you last chose pickup or delivery, so that option is offered first next time.

Clearing your browser data removes both. Nothing breaks if you do.

Third parties

• Netlify hosts the site and processes the enquiry form.
• Google Fonts serves two typefaces. Loading a font makes a request to Google's servers, which means Google can see your IP address. If you would rather that did not happen, we can self-host the fonts instead — ask us.
• Google Maps is embedded on the contact page to show our location, which means Google can see your IP address when that map loads. Apple Maps, Waze, and our delivery partners open on their own websites when you click through, and their privacy policies apply from that point.

There is no Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics, and no advertising network on this site.

How long we keep things

Enquiry submissions are kept while we deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Server logs are kept on our host's standard retention schedule.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact us using the details on the contact page and we will action it.

Depending on where you live you may have specific rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to processing. We honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
